Student Experiences in CAS

If you're studying in Northern's College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), you'll be encouraged to augment your studies with an internship - a great experience that will help you determine exactly what you'd like to do after graduation.  Your junior year is a good time to visit with a faculty member about your after-graduation options.

Internship for Credit: You may be able to earn between 1 and 12 internship credits per academic term.  Please contact the internship coordinator for your department for important details and deadlines.

Annual Fall Internship Reception: In the fall, the CAS hosts an internship reception to inform you about the internship process and celebrate the experience of current interns. Representatives from several employers usually are available to talk with you, the potential intern. The fall reception affords you plenty of time and information to prepare for an internship the following spring or summer. For information, contact Dr. Courtney Waid-Lindberg, CAS internship coordinator, or one of the department internship coordinators listed below; or visit the NSU Career Center
