Art in Italy Past to Present

It's a long way from Aberdeen, S.D., to Italy - center of some of the world's most important and widely admired art; but it's just a step away through Northern's "Art in Italy: Past to Present," June 5-15, 2013.
Led by Northern professors Greg Blair and Sara Christensen Blair, this 1-credit course takes you to Italy to study the Italian Renaissance in Florence and visit several key artworks:
- Michelangelo's David
- Botticelli's The Birth of Venus, and
- Leonardo da Vinci's The Annunciation.
In Venice, you'll leap forward to the cutting edge contemporary art world on display in the world's most important contemporary art fair, the Venice Biennale.
- Registration begins August 2012
- $500 deposit due by Nov. 15, 2012
Literary Tour of Europe
This tour, sponsored by the NSU English Department, will be May 13-24, 2013. The tour is open to anyone and will include Ireland, Wales and England.
Those registering before Oct. 1 will receive a reduced rate for the tour.
A one-credit online course will be offered in spring 2013. A no-credit option is also available.
