Northern Softball Fall Games

ABERDEEN, S.D. - The NSU softball team will play five games in Sioux Falls this Saturday and Sunday. The schedule is as follows, with all games being played at Sherman Park.
Saturday, Sept. 22                                   Sunday, Sept. 23
10 am vs. Northwestern College                 10 am vs. South Dakota
12 pm vs. Augustana College                      12 pm vs. U-Mary
4 pm vs. North Dakota

The Wolves will also host Dakota Wesleyan on Thursday, Sept. 27 at Moccasin Creek Complex for a 3:30 pm doubleheader.

Wolves Place 16 On NSIC Spring
All-Academic Teams

ST. PAUL, Minn. - 16 of Northern State's spring sport athletes were named to NSIC All-Academic Teams in 2007. To be eligible for this honor, the student-athlete must be a member of the varsity traveling team and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or better. Furthermore, the student-athlete must have reached sophomore academic and athletic standing at the institution represented with one full year completed at that particular institution. Full Release

Six Athletes To Join Wolves In 2008

ABERDEEN, S.D. - Northern State head softball coach Terri Holmes has announced that six athletes have signed NCAA National Letters of Intent to play with the Wolves in 2008.
"We are very excited about these student-athletes that will be part of NSU softball next fall," says Holmes. "They are great people who want an education and who will help us take a positive step up with our program to compete for an NSIC title. They will bring a wealth of softball experience to NSU and will create an atmosphere of excitement in our program."

2007 Season Wrapup

ABERDEEN, S.D. – The 2007 Northern State softball squad, armed with eight underclassmen, showed great improvements from the first few weeks of the season to the final games of the year. They finished with a record of 9-41 overall and took eighth place in the Northern Sun Conference after going 4-14 in league play. Full Wrap-Up
