Want a fast track into nursing, where you'll bring your desire to help and heal to the dynamic, growing healthcare industry? If you've earned a bachelor's degree in ANY field, Northern and South Dakota State University can get you into nursing in just 1 year.
The Accelerated Nursing Program is for people who have completed a bachelor's degree and wish to obtain a bachelor of science degree in nursing. You'll apply in September for the program, which starts each January.
With this degree, you'll learn to provide high-quality care as a professional nurse. You'll be prepared to work in a variety of settings, helping people with complex medical issues.
Classes and labs will be held on campus at Northern, while clinicals will be completed in Aberdeen at Sanford Hospital, Avera St. Lukes, or surrounding community hospitals.
Selected intensive experiences will take place in other South Dakota communities.
