Nashville Unplugged: The Story Behind the Song will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, in the NSU Johnson Fine Arts Center. The show brings successful songwriters from Nashville to Aberdeen to discuss and perform their hit songs. Northern students will be admitted free.

NSU Theater will present "Santaland Diaries" at the One-Legged Pheasant Brewery, 723 S. Main St., at 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. Nov. 30 and Dec. 1. There is no admission charge, but donations are suggested for the NSU Theater Scholarship. This show is recommended for mature elves. For more information, call 605-626-2563. The NSU Choir Holiday Concert will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 318 S. Kline St., at 7:30 p.m. on November 29. The NSU Concert Choir, Chamber Singers and Early Musick Ensemble will join forces to perform multicultural works, primarily performed by the Concert Choir, alongside many holiday works. Admission is a freewill donation to NSU music scholarships at the door. NSU students are admitted for free. Read more here.
