Ireland travel writer to read Dec. 5 at NSU

ABERDEEN, S.D. - Karen Babine will read original creative nonfiction from 4-5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, in the Williams Library Round Room at Northern State University, and everyone is welcome to attend.

 

Babine has written extensively about her travels in Ireland, and her work has been published in literary journals. Babine, who teaches at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn., has a Ph.D in creative non-fiction from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

 

Her visit to NSU's campus is funded by a grant from the South Dakota Humanities Council.

 
Students Read Dec. 9
All are welcome to hear students in NSU's creative nonfiction class read their work from 4-5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, in the Round Room. Refreshments will be served.
 
Both events are sponsored by A Writer Reads and the Department of Languages, Literature, and Communication Studies.
