ABERDEEN, S.D. – Balie Albrecht will hold a senior recital at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 8, in the Northern State University Johnson Fine Art Center’s Harvey and Cynthia Jewett Theater.

Albrecht, the daughter of Brent and Julie Albrecht of Rapid City, graduated from Stevens High School in 2014.

Albrecht, a music education major, plays percussion. She will perform “French Suite, Movements 1 and 4” by William Kraft; “A Good Friday” by Michael Aukofer; “Suite for Solo Timpanist, Movement 1” by Scott Huston; and “Summer Treehouse” by Chad Floyd. She will be assisted by NSU music students Elsa Swanson of Chaska, Minn., Brooke Thielbar of Hardwick, Minn., and Grace Gasperich of Aberdeen.

Albrecht has studied under Dr. Terry Beckler during her time at NSU. She will graduate from NSU in December. She hopes to teach middle or high school band in the future.
