ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State University will host the South Dakota Art Educators Conference on Oct. 6 and 7.

Members of the South Dakota Arts Education Association (SDAEA) and South Dakota College Art Association (SDCAA) together for the first time at this conference can plan to learn from, share and strengthen partnerships with arts educators at all levels across the state. As an author and researcher, Szekely has won the Manuel Barkan Prize, the Viktor Lowenfeld Award and the Marion Dixon Award. Szekely is a distinguished fellow and president-elect of the NAEA.

Workshop topics include “Lino-prints for Clay” and “Pinhole Extravaganza,” along with many others. NSU art faculty members Greg Blair, Gratia Brown, Keum-Taek Jung and Nadya Preszler will be presenting workshops at this conference.
