ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State University has a brand new website that offers more than a fresh look—it’s also more user friendly, with a focus on providing potential students ample opportunities to learn more about NSU.

The new northern.edu launched last week. The website is mobile friendly and includes interactive features such as:

▪ A homepage grid that allows students to search for preferred degree programs.

▪ Forms on multiple pages for prospective students to request more information.

▪ A section on the homepage for students to easily follow NSU social media accounts.

The new site was created by a California-based company called KWALL. NSU first moved forward with seeking proposals from companies in 2015. The goal was to create a highly professional, interactive, and informative website that works in tandem with the university’s other marketing initiatives.

KWALL was selected in early 2016, and the NSU Web Redesign Committee was formed to work with the company throughout the remainder of the project. Dr. Debbi Bumpous, vice president of technology/chief information officer, and JoEllen Lindner, vice president for enrollment management and student affairs, led the committee.

Other committee members included students and representatives of various university departments: communications and marketing, web development, School of Business, and international programs.

“I am extremely pleased with the outcome and the committee members’ dedication and time throughout the project,” Bumpous said. “Each member dedicated countless hours to ensure the successful launch of our new website.”
