ABERDEEN, S.D. – The Northern State University Chamber Singers will celebrate the 333rd birthday of Johann Sebastian Bach with the eighth annual “Bach’s Lunch” on Wednesday, March 21.

The concert will begin at noon at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1620 Milwaukee Ave. S.E.

Bach’s Lunch will feature the NSU Chamber Singers, under the direction of NSU Director of Choral Activities Dr. Timothy Woods.

After the program, the church will provide a light lunch for performers and audience members. Admission is a freewill donation to NSU music scholarships at the door. NSU students are admitted for free.

The concert will feature Isaac Miller, an oboist from Arizona State University. Several NSU music faculty and friends will also perform, including Dr. Kenneth Boulton, dean of the School of Fine Arts and piano; Dr. Darci Bultema, soprano; Dr. Allan Jacobson, professor emeritus and piano; Dr. Robert Vodnoy, violin; JoAnne Barry, piano; and Stuart Davidson, organ; Fred Hemke, piano.

NSU student string players performing under the direction of Vodnoy, NSU professor of strings and music history/director of the Aberdeen University-Civic Symphony, include Xin Wang of Nanjing, China; Leandro Fernandez-Moutin of Rosario, Argentina; and Isaac H. Seaton of Aberdeen.
