Dr. Seuss and Read Across America

ABERDEEN, S.D. – Elementary students in the Aberdeen area will join millions of their peers across the country to celebrate the 20th annual National Education Association's (NEA) Read Across America Day on Tuesday, March 3.

Read Across America is a Dr. Seuss themed literacy night at the Aberdeen Mall. The event welcomes all children in the Aberdeen area from grades pre-school through 5th grade to come and have fun! 

There will be interactive literacy booths set up by different education organizations from Northern State University’s campus and organizations in the Aberdeen community. Some of the booths include fishing for letters, bingo, and a read-aloud station. After visiting every booth, each child who attends will go home with a free book.

WHO: This event is open to the public but aimed for children ages pre-school through 5th grade.
