ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State University’s Dr. Jon Schaff will present a talk about the late George McGovern at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, at the Journey Museum and Learning Center in Rapid City.

Schaff, professor of political science, will discuss McGovern’s life and influences before he entered political service. He will focus on how McGovern’s views were ultimately shaped by his religion, war service and academic training. 

The event is one of the museum’s learning forums, which are wide-ranging, thought-provoking presentations followed by a meet and great with the presenters with light snacks and refreshments.
