ABERDEEN, S.D. – Taylor Wall and Michael Benjamin Weber will hold a senior recital at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 30, in Northern State University’s Krikac Auditorium.

Wall, the daughter of Kevin and Jody Wall, grew up in Breckenridge, Minn., graduating from Breckenridge High School in 2013.

Weber, the son of Michael and Angela Weber, grew up in Rapid City, graduating from St. Thomas More High School in 2013.

Wall, a vocal music education major and business minor, is a mezzo soprano. She will perform “Che faro senza Euridice?” by Christoph Willibald von Gluck, “Langs ei A” and “Varen” by Edvard Grieg, “Verborgenheit” by Hugo Wolf, along with several other pieces. She will be accompanied by Dr. William Wieland.

Weber, a Bachelor of Arts in vocal performance major, is a baritone. He will perform pieces by Handel, Schumann, Dvorak and Kilenyi. He will be accompanied by Mary Marion.

Wall has studied under Dr. Marla Fogderud during her time at Northern. She will graduate from NSU in December. Her future plans involve completing her student-teaching experience in the fall. She looks forward to job opportunities that will reveal themselves in the near future.

“I chose to attend Northern State University after I had my scholarship audition here on campus. One of the things that stood out the most to me about NSU when I was making a school choice was how personable the staff was here. Immediately when I stepped on the NSU campus I was welcomed by all. It felt like home to me, and I will cherish my experience at NSU for the rest of my life. It has been the best four years of my life,” mentioned Wall.

Weber has studied under Mr. Michael Skyles during his time at Northern. He will graduate from Northern in May. His future plans include applying for graduate school to pursue a degree in music therapy after taking a year off to work.

“I chose to attend Northern because of the excellent music faculty and program that Northern provides. Many of my relatives have attended Northern as well, and I am proud to carry on the tradition,” mentioned Weber.
