ABERDEEN, S.D. – Carrie Wegleitner’s senior art exhibition will be on display in the Northern State University Faculty Gallery beginning on April 24.

A reception for the exhibition will be held in the NSU Faculty Gallery from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Monday, April 24. The exhibition will be on display for two weeks following the reception.

Wegleitner grew up in Lake City, graduating from Britton-Hecla High School in 2013. She is the daughter of Catherine and Dan Wegleitner of Lake City.

A majority of the artwork on display will feature photography and graphic design-based material.

Wegleitner is an art and advertising design major who has worked under NSU art faculty members Sara Christensen Blair, Keum Taek Jung, Greg Blair, Nadya Preszler and Peter Kilian.

Wegleitner will graduate from Northern in May. After graduation, she intends to explore careers in graphic design and art. She also hopes to do a lot of traveling.

“I was immediately drawn to Northern’s attractive campus. Not only is it a beautiful school, but it has given me the valuable education I had expected upon my first impression. The art department is also super rad,” mentioned Wegleitner, regarding her choice to attend Northern.
