High School Dual Credit

The South Dakota High School Dual Credit Program (HSDC) allows South Dakota high school juniors and seniors to take college-level classes and receive both college and high school credit.

All HSDC courses are designed to fulfill both high school and college requirements.

Northern offers several general education classes that qualify for High School Dual Credit. Qualified students can take HSDC courses on our main campus in Aberdeen, at the Huron Community Campus or online. If you're interested in learning more or applying for HSDC, contact admissions@northern.edu.

The schedule of dual credit classes, application and additional details can be found at SDMyLife/Dual Credit.

College Prep Program

With Northern's high school college prep dual credit program, high school juniors and seniors attending a South Dakota public high school (and eligible for or receiving free/reduced lunch) can receive both high school and college credit at no cost! Northern will offer remedial English, math and reading courses that meet state requirements.
