Jordan Jaked Carrier is the costume shop supervisor and adjunct faculty in the School of Fine Arts at Northern State University. She holds her MFA in theater design and technology from the University of Georgia in Athens, Ga., and her B.A. in theater from Meredith College in Raleigh, N.C. She has worked for the Williamstown Theatre Festival in Williamstown, Mass.; Charlottesville Opera (formerly Ash Lawn Opera) in Charlottesville, Va.; Burning Coal Theatre in Raleigh, N.C.; Horizon Theatre in Atlanta, Ga.; Aurora Theatre in Lawrenceville, Ga.; and the Tony Award-winning Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, Ga., where she was the design assistant prior to her moving to South Dakota. Atlanta costume design credits include “The City of Conversation” (Horizon, Suzi nomination); “Dinosaur” (Alliance TVY); “Cinderella and Fella” (Assistant Designer, Alliance); “Maytag Virgin,” “Sweep,” “Sotto Voce” (Aurora); and “Sense & Sensibility” (Synchronicity). She has worked on the pre-Broadway productions of “The Visit,” “Fool for Love,” “Living on Love” and “The Prom,” which is set to begin previews for its Broadway run on Oct. 23. She is a member of the United States Institute for Theatre Technology.
