NSU alum joins E.K. Blessing family of artists

Northern State University 2004 graduate Doug Woolverton, an international touring musician and composer, has joined the E.K. Blessing family of artists.

A trumpet player, Woolverton regularly plays an E.K. Blessing BFH-1541RT Flugelhorn. After earning a B.A. in trumpet performance from NSU, he went on to perform with great artists such as Aretha Franklin, The Temptations, John Scofield, Warren Haynes and They Might Be Giants.

Woolverton tours with his band, Groove Merchants, and has been nominated for multiple awards. Read more here.
