E-Commerce & Data Analytics – Focuses on the data driven nature of today’s web platforms, data mining tools and techniques, and the business analytics process

Financial Systems Assurance & Security - Explores the connection between information systems, security and assurance as it applies to accounting, banking and financial services

Resource Management and Planning – Examines the strategic nature of information systems within modern organizations.




Management Information Systems continues to be one of the fastest-growing and highest-salaried professions in the world. If you're well prepared in this area, you'll likely be in high demand.  

Career possibilities include systems analyst, data scientist, security analyst, business intelligence analyst, database administrator, network administrator, web developer or web programmer; or information systems manager or chief information officer (CIO) of corporations and organizations.

An internship is not required, but highly recommended. Many professional, paid internships are available for MIS students. The NSU School of Business has a designated program director for internships.
