Wolf Pack Welcome is designed to help new students feel at home at Northern. We've designed a comprehensive schedule of activities to forge your new connection to campus, other students and the community.

Wolf Pack Welcome is the best way to get your introduction to NSU off to a howling good start. Come together with the campus and Aberdeen community for a week of true fun and learning. There will be plenty to do and a few surprises, too!


All Wolf Packs have a leader.

You’ll meet your student leaders who are eager to help you get the most out of your Wolf Pack Welcome experience.  They’ll show you the ropes, answer your questions and hook you into what’s happening at NSU.

Wolf Pack Welcome FAQs

What is Wolf Pack Welcome?

Wolf Pack Welcome helps you make the transition to college life. During this multi-day experience, you'll become acclimated to living in a residence hall, meet new friends and connect with Northern and its programs and services. Wolf Pack Welcome is your opportunity to ask questions and explore everything Northern has to offer.


Can family attend Wolf Pack Welcome?

Family members are encouraged to help you move into the residence halls and attend the University Welcome and Wolf Pack Picnic. Events after move-in day are designed exclusively for NSU's new students.


Where and when can I purchase textbooks and supplies?

The Wolf Shoppe, on the lower level of the Student Center, is open during the week. Once you're checked in and settled into your residence hall, you should have time before the first WPW session to visit the bookstore to purchase books and supplies. The bookstore will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and special hours from 10 a.m.-“ 2 p.m. Saturday. When you visit the bookstore, don't forget to bring your class schedule.


Where do I ask about living in a residence hall, renting a loft for my bed, my roommate, or what to bring?

Where can I get information on financial aid or scholarships?

Visit Financial Aid on myNSU or contact the Financial Aid Office in Dacotah Hall 103 at 605-626-2640.


Where do I check for current tuition and fees?

Access Self-Service Banner to see your bill. For information or assistance, visit the Finance Office page on myNSU or contact the Finance Office in the Krikac Administration Building 202A at 605-626-2566.


How do I sign in to Northern email, D2L or Self-Service Banner?
