Northern State University's Constitution Day 2018 will take place on Monday, Sept. 17. All day, people can enjoy the hundreds of flags flown around town, courtesy of the Exchange Club. On campus, there will be a display in the NSU Beulah Williams Library, flags and decorated offices – and even Uncle Sam and Lady Liberty walking around. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the NSU Student Center, the League of Women Voters will register people to vote and the Dacotah Prairie Museum will have a display.

Local businesses, nonprofits, churches and other organizations are invited to Northern State University’s fifth annual Community Marketplace, set for 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, on the campus green. Registration forms may be obtained by calling Northern’s Career Services office at 605-626-2371. The deadline to register is 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31. The cost to participate is $25 for all organizations. Read more information here.

Northern State University’s Culturefest, a celebration of cultures from around the nation and the world, will be held 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, in the Barnett Center. The event, free and open to the public, will include international food sampling, entertainment and of a variety of booths from cultural organizations. Read more here.
