  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs has accepted the Northern State University School of Business’ Full Quality Assurance Report with no notes or conditions.

    This acceptance by the ACBSP Baccalaureate/Graduate Degree Board of Commissioners is an extension of the NSU School of Business’ 2016 accreditation with the organization. That board also reviewed and accepted Northern’s initial Quality Assurance Report in 2018.

    I’m happy to share results from EAB’s website audit, with a focus on search engine optimization (SEO). This audit is one of the takeaways included in our strategic enrollment management planning (SEM) with EAB.

    Key recommendations for northern.edu include:

    • Reduce the frequency of search engines returning “catalog.northern.edu” results, instead favoring results from “northern.edu”
    • Modify URL structure of overall website to improve search engine results
    • Change terminology to use more popular keywords (e.g., “undergrad” to “… more

  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – Registration is now open for the 106th annual Northern State University Gypsy Day Parade, set for Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022.

    The parade will begin at 9 a.m. in downtown Aberdeen. Entrants will decorate their float based on this year’s theme, “Wolves on Broadway.” A panel of judges comprised of Northern and community leaders will present awards in various categories.
