Dr. Erin H. Fouberg is currently serving as interim provost and has held the roles of associate vice president for academic affairs and director of graduate studies at Northern State University since 2019. In these roles, she has led comprehensive initiatives in graduate enrollment management, academic program development, innovation, and institutional partnerships, resulting in significant growth in graduate enrollment, improved student success outcomes, and increased external grant funding. She has provided institution-wide leadership for accreditation, shared governance, and collaborative academic initiatives while advancing mission-driven innovation, workforce alignment, and community engagement. Dr. Fouberg holds a Ph.D. and an M.A. in geography from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and a B.S. in foreign service from Georgetown University.
