Dr. Shalini Mathew
Assistant Professor of Counselor Education
Dr. Shalini Mathew is a nationally certified counselor and dedicated researcher, who engages students in collaborative interdisciplinary research. Beyond being an award-winning counselor educator, Dr. Mathew extends her skills to the national accreditation body- Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs. She's also involved in the Aberdeen community, by serving as a Junior Achievement Ethics volunteer.
Dr. Christian Pirlet
Assistant Professor of Educational Technology
Dr. Christian Pirlet specializes in technology integration in PK-12 settings. His primary focus has included the use of game-based learning to study student motivation in the social sciences. Before entering higher education, Dr. Pirlet spent 14 years in secondary classrooms teaching social studies including current events, AP US history, honors economics, psychology, and American Indian studies.
Dr. Audrey Miller
Associate Professor of Clarinet/Music, Director of Bands, Music Department Chair
In addition to conducting the Symphonic Band, Dr. Audrey Miller teaches applied clarinet and has a student clarinet ensemble. She is in demand as a clarinet performer and clinician throughout the world, and has commissioned many new works, most recently for her soprano, clarinet and piano trio.
Dr. Tim Woods
Associate Professor of Music, Director of Choral Activities/Music History
In addition to conducting the Collegiate Choir, Chamber Singers, and Vocal Jazz Ensemble, Dr. Timothy Woods teaches music history, vocal pedagogy, choral conducting, and applied voice.
He is a guest conductor, clinician and adjudicator, and has performed tenor solos with the Arizona Opera, Tucson Symphony and Denver Symphony Orchestra.
