- Application
To register for the undergraduate or graduate level companion course for the workshop “Leading Kids to Positive Behaviors and Successful Lives”, click on the “Register” button below.
Participants interested in completing the companion course for graduate or undergraduate credit need to complete a new application each year. This allows NSU’s IT team to create or reactivate your student email so you can access the course in D2L (Desire 2 Learn).
To login to the application system, you should always use your personal email. If you’ve completed an application previously, you should select the “Returning User” option. If you are applying to take the companion course for the first time, you should select the “First-time User" option.
If you do not remember the personal email you used to apply previously, the Online Learning & Continuing Education office can look up your email address on your account. If you don’t remember your password for the application, you can click “Forgot Password” and the system will send you a temporary pin to login. You can then enter a new password from there.
The application will ask you to provide your personal information, and select which credit level of the course you would like to be enrolled in. All participants must provide a digital signature on the “Student Certification” section of the application and click “Submit” in the “Review for Submission” section.
Note: If you do not click submit on the application, it will only show as “In progress” and the OLCE office will not be able to process your application.
- Registration
When applications are submitted, the Online Learning and Continuing Education office will process the application and enroll participants in the desired section of the course. All participants will receive a registration confirmation email from online@northern.edu to the email address on their application. This will confirm registration and provide the student ID number, student email address, and information on how participants can set up their Wolves email address and access the course in D2L.
- Accessing the Course and Course Materials
Once you set up your Wolves email you will login into D2L to gain access to the course. If you’re registering before the first day of the term, the course may not be displayed yet as instructors have until the first day of the semester to activate their course. As the course will run from August 25, 2025 to December 17, 2025, instructors may not have the course available on the day of the seminar. For participants enrolling in the companion course, the presentation will be available in the course shell for you to review during the term.
Scott Ervin’s book, “The Classroom Behavior Manual” will be required for participants enrolling in the course.
For more information on purchasing the book, contact the Online Learning and Continuing Education office at online@northern.edu or 605-626-2568.
