NSU Facilities Manager Monte Mehlhoff has issued a regional sports complex update.

Regional Sports Complex
- Site work, sidewalks, curb and gutter, parking lots and all other concrete flatwork will start on April 26 and carry through the end of the project. Contractors will start at the northeast corner of the site by State Street and work their way down the 15th Avenue Plaza, turn south at the main entrance, and work their way south off the project site to 17th Avenue. This site work will all take place over the course of the next 4 months.
Barnett Center Addition
- Second-level Barnett Center spaces painting is complete and wood accent walls are nearing completion.
- Specialty wood panel ceiling installation at second level is about 50 percent complete.
- Restrooms on second level are almost complete. Fixtures, partitions, wall and floor tile have been installed.
- HVAC/plumbing/electrical equipment are being installed in mechanical rooms.
- Electrical and HVAC rough-in work is nearing completion on first floor.
- Drywall contractor has hung all drywall on first-level football locker rooms, completed mudding and taping, and begun priming and painting.
- Locker fabrication will begin in April and be installed June 12.
- KONE is wrapping up the installation of the second elevator (service) car.
- Bridge connecting the Barnett Center addition and the football stadium awaits traffic coating. Coating samples and colors are being reviewed.
Dacotah Bank Stadium (football)
- Fourth level suites and all common spaces are all sheet rocked/taped/mudded, primed and painted.
- Fourth level bar/lounge glazing and ceiling grid are installed. Bar is framed and wall tile is being installed at bar and accent walls.
- Fourth level restrooms floor and wall time is complete.
- Solid-surface countertops for premium suites, bar/lounge and restrooms are being fabricated by Cambria.
- Measuring for fabrication is under way for solid surface countertops in premium suites, bar/lounge and restrooms.
- Third level loge – interior restrooms and concessions will soon be painted. Metal panel ceilings will be installed upon arrival in April.
- Spray foam application above ceiling framing at loge concourse areas is complete.
- Third level “Wolves Club” chair-back seat installation is 90 percent complete.
- Work continues down on second level for all M.E.P. rough-in work at bathrooms and concessions.
- Mason has completed block interior CMU walls at second level concourse, restrooms and concession areas.
- Ansul system and hood at cook wall installation is complete.
- Mason continues installation of CMU block walls on first level service areas, mechanical rooms, encapsulating grand staircase, etc. CMU block work here should be completed this week, then move to the softball stadium.
FB Field
- All drainage, subgrade construction and field curb has all been installed. Turf contractors will begin football turf install next week.
- Work continued on the Metal Panel Installation. East, north and south elevations are completed, and install crew is about 95 percent completed with the metal panels on the west façade of the grandstand.
- Sub framing is being installed at the south stair tower. Perforated metal panels will arrive and be installed over the next couple weeks.
- Scoreboard: Metal cladding will be wrapped around back side and columns April 14-22. Speaker cabinet is being installed.
- Construction on the ticket booth structural steel and roof decking is completed and interior wall framing has begun.
- Final aiming of light fixtures to be completed at a later date.
- North stair tower doors have yet to be installed.
Softball Stadium
- EPDM roof at Softball Press/Suite structure is installed, parapet cap and downspout is only item to remain for roofing.
- Softball Field subgrade drainage and field curb construction will take place in the spring.
- CMU block at the softball restroom and concessions structure began around April 12.
