NSU Facilities Manager Monte Mehlhoff has issued a campus construction update.

Regional Science Center

• Floor polishing has begun on first floor south and continues on second floor south

• Masons are relocating scaffolding to the north wing and doing block infill at the elevators

• Workers are installing window frames on the east side of the building, and preparing frames for glass installation

• Workers are applying membrane and spray foam on the east side at the colabs and conference room pods

• Framers are working on the south canopy of the north wing and interior framing on first floor north. Workers are hanging sheetrock on second floor north

• Installation of both elevators is ongoing

• Plumbers continue with overhead and VAV piping; are setting the boilers, water heater and heat exchanger; and are working on the second-floor restrooms

• Pipe insulation is under way on first floor south

• Electricians are doing rough-ins on second floor north and pulling wire on first and second floors south

• The HVAC contractor continues installing ductwork on first and second floor south, and installing VAVs on second floor south

• Painting of ductwork and piping on second floor south continues
