NSU Facilities Manager Monte Mehlhoff has shared a new campus construction update focusing on a variety of projects.

• Library HVAC: In progress and going as expected - possible late August completion
• Dacotah Hall HVAC: In progress, possible late August completion
• Campus light upgrades: Funding to install LED lights in Barnett Center has been approved and lights purchased
• Spafford Hall flat roof replacement: Complete
• MJ classroom painting and carpeting: Complete
• Tech Center Student Success Center: Work to begin Aug. 2 with early December completion
• Barnett Center southeast entrance replacement: Work to begin Aug. 2

Approved projects to be included in FY 22 planning after July 1 funding:

• Campus wayfinding signage: Bids accepted – preliminary planning to start Aug. 9
• Remaining built-up roof on library to be replaced with energy-efficient EPDM roof: Funding approved, work set for summer 2022
• Six sectionalizing switches: Funding approved, work set for summer 2022
• Fire alarms to be replaced in Admin/Spafford/Dacotah buildings: Funding approved – in drawing stages now with bids to come in late fall
• Tunnel maintenance project eliminating abandoned steam and condensate pipe: Work to be completed this winter
• Barnett Center HVAC upgrade for existing locker rooms on east-west hallways: Work to be completed this winter​
