Sidewalk Closures

The sidewalks on the north side of the Barnett Center parking lot and at 14th and Lloyd will be closed for power line work beginning Nov. 13.

Contractors also anticipate sidewalk closures along State Street.

Regional Science Education Center

The water meter is in place and water is flowing to the building.

In the south wing, second floor:

• Wall plumbing rough-ins continue along with installation of hose bibs and overflow drains on the exterior walls
• Electric rough-ins in the walls are nearly complete
• Sheetrock installation continues
• Taping has begun
• Workers are assembling HVAC ductwork
• Carpenters are installing wood backing in the walls
• Painting has begun on the exposed ceiling structure

In the north wing:

• Temporary enclosure work in  ongoing
• Workers also are determining HVAC wall opening layouts
• Wall framing is under way on the first and second floors

Workers are hanging sheetrock in the first floor's mechanical room and installing an electrical box at the campus power loop. The earth work contractor has prepared the mechanical yard for equipment pads.

Barnett Center

Barnett Center roof work is complete.

Physical Plant

Both new boilers are up and running. The electrical generator will be installed the week of Nov. 12.
