Posted on behalf of Interim Provost Dr. Joelle Lien:

NSU School of Business Dean Dr. Tim Mantz has announced that he will leave Northern to become Cabrini University’s new Dean of Business, Arts and Music, a department of roughly 1,200 students. During his time at Northern, the School of Business started new programs, including offering an emphasis in supply chain analytics within its management major. Mantz was also instrumental in pursuing a Master of Accounting Analytics program, which would fill a need in the regional workforce while setting NSU graduates apart from others in the accounting field. Dr. Mantz has done an outstanding job with the School of Business Advisory Boards, has excelled at creating relationships with employers throughout the region, and has taken an active role in our Lamont-Rhodes Lecture Series and Create ‘N’ Festival. We thank him for his efforts and wish him and his family the best as they embark on this new venture. An internal search will now begin for an interim dean of Northern’s School of Business. A committee will then be formed to lead a nationwide search for a new permanent dean.
