Northern State University students presented their original research at an international conference this week - and even met a Nobel Prize winner.

Northern students Olivia Becker, Kristen Calderon, Ryan Clay, Jessica Stockert and Tawnie Williams, along with NSU Associate Professor of Biology Dr. Jon Mitchell, attended the 2022 Experimental Biology Conference in Philadelphia. Each student presented their original research at this international conference, held April 2-6.

Members of the NSU group also attended a talk by 2014 Nobel Prize Winner in Medicine, Dr. Edvard Moser,  and had an opportunity to meet with him afterward. Moser discovered grid cells in the brain’s medial entorhinal cortex. He is mapping memory and decision-making.
