The NSU Testing Center provides testing and exam proctoring services to NSU students, students from other colleges and universities, prospective students, and members of the community.

Need a proctor for a test?
- Please reserve a proctoring appointment online.
- A $20 proctoring fee is required per appointment. (This may be waived if you are affiliated with one of South Dakota’s six public universities.)
- Pay at NSU Testing Center Payment or bring cash or a check on your test date.
- If your institution or instructor requires the proctor to complete forms, please send the forms to nsuproctor@northern.edu.
What to Bring
- Photo ID
- Proctoring fee, if applicable
- Login credentials to the learning management system for your class (D2L, Blackboard, Moodle, etc.), if applicable
- Any resources allowed by your instructor during the exam
You must leave all personal items - including but not limited to backpacks, purses, mobile phones, laptops and smart watches - with the proctor before you begin your exam.
