NSU Hosts Annual Science and Math Fair

ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State University will hold the 34th annual Northern South Dakota Science and Mathematics Fair on Thursday, March 23.

Approximately 60 judges from surrounding areas will be judging the projects of high school juniors and seniors from 20 surrounding schools in the area and interviewing these students.

The students involved come from Brown, Campbell, Day, Edmunds, Faulk, Hyde, Marshall, McPherson, Roberts, Spink and Walworth counties.

National History Day set for March 15

ABERDEEN, S.D. – More than 150 middle and high school students from northeastern South Dakota will be on the Northern State University campus on March 15 for the National History Day regional competition.

A total of 159 students from seven schools will present 105 research projects as part of the competition, which will run from 8 a.m. to noon in the NSU Student Center and Missouri River Room.

This year’s theme is “Taking a Stand in History.” Nationwide, more than a half million kids participate in National History Day every year.
