Mrs. Kanizar was born and raised in Las Vegas and graduated from the College of Southern Nevada with a degree in theatre arts. During her time there, she participated in numerous community theatre productions and acted in and directed productions on the Las Vegas strip. Through connections within the community, she received an opportunity to help create a fan-based pop culture convention. From small beginnings in 2012 to 60,000 in attendance in summer 2019, she was the director of volunteer coordination for shows based in Knoxville and Nashville, Tenn;  and Tampa and Lakeland, Florida. Through these adventures, she has had the opportunity to meet many celebrities and create lasting memories and friendships with people from around the world.

In 2014, Mrs. Kanizar and her husband relocated to Aberdeen and set down roots. Since moving, she has had the opportunity to be involved in community organizations like Aberdeen Community Theatre (White Christmas, Shrek, and Hairspray), NSU’s production of Hunchback of Notre Dame, six years in the Living Christmas Tree, South Dakota Film Festival, and many more.

Mr. and Mrs. Kanizar’s world was changed forever welcoming their son into the world in April of 2019 and their daughter in December of 2020. In their free time, the Kanizar family enjoys numerous trips to Storybook Land and the pool, spending time with family, friends, and neighbors, church activities, and planning vacations. Mrs. Kanizar is very proud of her extensive Disney knowledge; enjoys trips to the Disney Parks; and lives vicariously through livestreams from the Disney parks on YouTube.
