Dr. Pepper Tuition Giveaway

Deadline: Oct. 17, 2018

Summary: Applicant must be a U.S. legal resident, at least 18 years old (no older than 24). Contest requires online entry, essay, social media usage, and video entry. Five $100,000, five $25,000, and 10 $2,500 scholarships.


Brian Meyer Memorial Scholarship

Deadline: Oct. 30, 2018

Summary: Applicant must have completed two semesters of post-secondary school in S.D. and be a member or a dependent of a subscriber of a S.D. Telecommunications Assosciation (SDTA). Requires application, transcript, typed statement, and two letters of recommendation. Two scholarships of $1,250 and $500 will be awarded for the 2019 spring semester.


U.S. Department of State Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program

Deadline: Nov. 27, 2018

Summary: The CLS Program is a fully-funded intensive overseas language and cultural immersion program for U.S. undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at U.S. colleges and universities. Students spend eight to 10 weeks abroad studying one of 15 critical languages (see website for official list); summer 2019. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, currently enrolled and be 18 by May 15, 2019. The scholarship program includes international airfare, tuition, and all program costs, as well as meals and living accommodations (often with a host family).


HTR Scholarship (Hartford Technology Rental)

Deadline: Nov. 30, 2018

Summary: Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate junior or senior with a 3.0 GPA; pursuing a degree related to IT; and a U.S. resident. Requires application and proof of full-time enrollment. One $1,000 scholarship.


South Dakota Well Drillers Association Scholarship (SDWDA)

Deadline: Dec. 1, 2018

Summary: Applicant must be a South Dakota resident or relative of an individual employed by a member company in good standing, a full-time student who has completed their freshman year at an accredited post-secondary South Dakota school with a major emphasis on a degree related to the water/water well/ground water industry, and have a 2.0 GPA. The top two winners are required to attend SDWDA convention to accept the scholarship. Requires typed application, essay, transcript, photo, and two letters of recommendation. One $4,000, one $3,000, and three $1,000 scholarships. 


Camping Carnival Scholarship

Deadline: Dec. 31, 2018

Summary: Applicant must be either be a high school senior with a 3.0 GPA or a current college student with a 2.5 GPA and a citizen of the United States. Application requires essay with pictures and a submission of application form via Google Docs. One $500 scholarship to be awarded.


Ampronix College Scholarship 

Deadline: May 31, 2019

Summary: Applicants must be a United States resident, enrolled as an undergraduate student, and performed at least 20 hours of community service in the last year. Requires taking a survey, proof of enrollment, proof of volunteering, and photo with essay. One $1,000, one $750, and one $500 scholarship to be awarded.


2019 Volunteer Scholarship - DealHack

Deadline: Jun. 30, 2019

Summary: Applicant must be enrolled full time for the 2019-20 academic year currently in good standing and show outstanding community volunteer involvement. Requires online application, reference, and essay. One $1,500 scholarship will be awarded.


Howard Memorial Scholarship

Deadline: Application available each spring

Summary: Applicants for the Howard Memorial Scholarship must be residents of Brown County OR plan to attend Northern State University regardless of where they live. Requires application, page one of the federal income tax return, and a transcript. Scholarships up to $1,000 available.



South Dakota Board of Regents Scholarships

South Dakota Opportunity Scholarship

Summary: Applicants must be South Dakota students who attended an eligible higher education institution in South Dakota. Requires composite ACT score of 24 or higher, a cumulative GPA of 3.0, and completion of the high school course requirements commonly known as the Regents Scholar curriculum. Guaranteed to all students who qualify, $6,500 over four years.
