Enhancing the experience of students and Wolves fans
Located on the southeast edge of the NSU campus, Dacotah Bank Stadium is a premier, first-rate facility that greatly enhances the on-campus experience for Northern students as well as the game-day experience for Wolves fans.
Connected to the Barnett Center, the stadium is part of the Regional Sports Complex, along with Koehler Hall of Fame Softball Field.
The stadium includes many premium student-athlete and fan amenities, such as a large club room and locker room in the end zone, club and loge seating levels, and 11 premium suites. Other features include a designated tailgating lot and family-oriented activities such as bean bag tournaments and bounce castles.
On the second floor, the multipurpose champion’s club is designed to seat more than 350 people and can be used for events such as seated meals during game days or wedding receptions.

THE EDUCATIONAL IMPACT CAMPAIGN
The NSU Regional Sports Complex is one of three projects of the Educational Impact Campaign, a collaborative effort between Northern and the South Dakota School for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
Fundraising is ongoing for the $55 million campaign, and has now moved beyond $50 million. NSU President Dr. Tim Downs said he’s thrilled that the campaign has reached this milestone.
“I see this as yet another sign of the positive momentum we have here on the Northern campus,” Downs said. “We still have work to do, and I appreciate the efforts of everyone involved in the campaign as we enter this homestretch.”
The campaign also includes a brand new SDSBVI facility, which opened in January 2020; as well as the completed Athletic and Recreation Fields, which includes a soccer competition field, a football practice field and a pavilion between the two.
“This is such a game-changing time for Aberdeen and Northern,” said Jim Thares, South Dakota Board of Regents member and co-chair of the Educational Impact Campaign. “I cannot thank our community, alumni and donors enough for what they’ve done for Northern State University.”
