About The Program
As a physician’s assistant, you’ll make a difference in your patients’ lives every single day, guiding them toward health and wellness. While this program isn’t a major, at Northern, we’ll match you with a degree program and the necessary coursework required to prepare you for admission into a physician’s assistant program.
This program will be a good fit if you:
- Have strong communication skills
- Are interested in science and how the body works
- Care deeply about people, their problems and pain
- Enjoy helping people
- Are detail-oriented
- Have strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate integrity and compassion
Besides working as a physician’s assistant, completion of the PA program could also set you on a career path toward other medical positions, including:
- Nurse practitioner
- General physician
