ABERDEEN, S.D. – Two faculty members from the Northern State University School of Business had a case study accepted for publication in the Journal of Business Ethics Education.

“Hiring Ethics: A Case of Undue Influence in Employee Selection,” by Drs. Sal Villegas and Kristi Bockorny, will be part of JBEE’s Volume 17. According to the abstract, the case study examines a real-life situation in which a bank manager’s colleague tried to gain employment through undue influence.

Villegas, assistant professor of management, holds a Doctor of Business Administration in Management from George Fox University. He has nearly two decades of successful industry experience in the banking and finance sectors. His research interests include business ethics, multigenerational workforce management and networking/reciprocity.

Bockorny is associate professor of management and director of the NSU Honors Program. She received her bachelor’s degree from Northern, and both her master’s and Ph.D. from Bellevue University in Nebraska.
