ABERDEEN, S.D. – This year, the Northern State University Homecoming Parade will be led by Aberdeen couple Joe and Cindy Senger.

The Sengers will serve as parade marshals for the 104th annual Gypsy Day Parade, set for Saturday, Oct. 12. The parade, which has the theme of “Wolves Live Happily Ever After,” begins at 9 a.m. on Main Street.

Joe Senger is president and CEO of Dacotah Bank, a strong supporter of the university and the namesake of Northern’s future football stadium, part of the on-campus Regional Sports Complex. Homecoming weekend will also include a groundbreaking ceremony for the first phase of this project, set for 1:30 p.m. Oct. 11.

Other homecoming events include the coronation of Queen, Marshal and King of the Gyps at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Johnson Fine Arts Center; and the Homecoming football game at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Swisher Field.
