Professors at podium at National History Day

ABERDEEN, S.D. – On Thursday, March 18, Northern State University again hosted the South Dakota Region 2 judging of National History Day 2021, held remotely this year as it was in 2020.

A total of 183 students from schools in Sioux Valley, Waverly South Shore, Britton-Hecla, Florence, Brookings, Summit and Wilmot presented 116 projects.

Projects were judged by a team of 20 Northern students, faculty and staff, plus Presentation College Professor Dr. Brad Tennant.

Northern will host the regional judging again next spring, with the hope of getting 200 kids onto campus presenting. The co-directors of South Dakota National History Day Region 2 are NSU Professors of History Drs. Dave Grettler and Ric Dias.
