ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State University’s fall 2023 Noon Forums will begin Wednesday, Sept. 20, at noon in the Beulah Williams Library Round Room.
The featured speaker will be Dr. Ken Blanchard, NSU professor of political science, who will present the topic, 'The End of Liberal Democracy in America.' Dr. Blanchard's presentation will focus on the destruction of freedom of speech in modern democracy.
Dr. Blanchard is in his 35th year teaching political science at Northern. His academic specialty is biology and political theory. He has a forthcoming book on Darwin and the Declaration of Independence."
NSU Noon Forums, which are free and open to the public, are sponsored by NSU Faculty Senate, the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, and the Center for Public History and Civic Engagement. Remaining topics for the fall semester are as follows:
