ABERDEEN, S.D. (Aug. 18, 2017) – Northern State University’s first Wolf Talk of the 2017-18 academic year will be held Sunday, Aug. 20, featuring NSU’s 2017 Outstanding Faculty Member Dr. Courtney Waid-Lindberg.

Wolf Talks, which launched last year, is a leadership series featuring speakers from on and off campus. Waid-Lindberg’s talk will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Blue Room of the Johnson Fine Arts Center. The event is free and open to the public.

Wolf Talks—similar to the internationally known TED Talks—are held in conjunction with the NSU Common Read and sponsored by TRIO Student Support Services and Student Involvement and Leadership.

The themes for the fall Wolf Talks Series are “Self-identity,” “Humanity” and “Hidden History.” Wolf Talks will continue as follows:

Sept. 13: Sarah Meade; 6:30 p.m.; JFAC Blue Room  

Oct. 25: Dr. Brad Tennant; 6:30 p.m.; JFAC Blue Room

Nov. 29: Dr. Ayaz Virji; 6:30 p.m.; JFAC Blue Room
