NSU students performing stand-up comedy 2018

ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State University students will make their comedy debut at an event this month in downtown Aberdeen.

Northern students will perform at a Stand-up Comedy Open Mic, set for 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, at Red Rooster Coffee House, 218 S. Main St. Local stand-up comedian Jon Boon will serve as emcee.

The students participating are members of Northern’s Comedy and Humor Seminar, led by Dr. Liz Sills, assistant professor of communication studies. About 10-15 students are expected to perform.

All are welcome, and donations will be accepted to help with licensing fees required to have live music at Red Rooster Coffee House. For more information, visit the event Facebook page.
