Creativity and Research Forum

ABERDEEN, S.D. – The 2017 Northern State University Undergraduate Creativity, Scholarship and Research Forum will take place 11 a.m.-4:15 p.m. Thursday, April 13, in the Beulah Williams Library.

The forum is a venue in which Northern undergraduates can present their research or scholarly activities. This year, nine students will give oral presentations and seven will give poster presentations.

The schedule is as follows:

11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.: Student oral presentations

12:45-1:30 p.m.: Keynote address by Dennis Skadsen, a project coordinator with Day County Conservation District. Topic: “General Conservation Programs and Their History.”

1:30-2:30 p.m.: Student poster presentations with reception

2:30-3:30 p.m.: Faculty Symposium with Dr. Alyssa Anderson, College of Arts and Sciences; Ms. Hannah Walters, School of Business; Dr. Greg Blair, School of Fine Arts; and Dr. Mario Fontana, School of Education. Topic: “Creative ways to engage students in research/scholarly activities/creative experiences.”

3:30-4:15 p.m.: Student oral presentations.
