  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – Balie Albrecht will hold a senior recital at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 8, in the Northern State University Johnson Fine Art Center’s Harvey and Cynthia Jewett Theater.

    Albrecht, the daughter of Brent and Julie Albrecht of Rapid City, graduated from Stevens High School in 2014.

  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State University students will host a Health Fair from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on March 28 in the NSU Dacotah Hall Gym.  

    Put on by NSU students of the HLTH-320 Community Health Class, the Health Fair will feature nearly 30 booths including Aberdeen Hypnosis, Avera Sleep Lab, National Kidney Foundation of the Dakotas, Safe Harbor, Aberdeen Parks and Recreation, Aberdeen Curling Club, Aberdeen Running Club, Northern Counseling Center and many more.

  • When Lucille Tollifson heads down to Sioux Falls on the Northern State University fan bus today, it won’t be the first time she’s watched the men’s basketball team at nationals – she also took a Northern fan bus to Kentucky 20 years ago to cheer on the Wolves.

    Tollifson, who turns 90 in June, is looking forward to the trip and even went to the NSU Wolf Shoppe on Friday to buy some new maroon and gold attire.

    “It’s just an exciting time to be able to watch those Wolves play,” she said.

  • ABERDEEN, S.D. – Drs. Allen Barclay and Doug Ohmer of the Northern State University School of Business have co-written a scholarly article that will be published in the Journal of Management Policy and Practice (JMPP).

    The article, titled “Using Appreciative Inquiry to Manage Generation Y” will be published in volume 19, issue two of JMPP.

  • ABERDEEN, SD - Northern State University will host the 65th annual Mathematics Contest at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, in the Barnett Center.

    Roughly 800 students from approximately 50 area schools are expected to participate, according to Dr. Stacy Trentham, NSU assistant professor of mathematics and contest director.
