Tiffany Imbery, BSN, RN is an Instructor for the BSN Nursing Program at Northern State University.

Tiffany has been a Registered Nurse on the Medical/Surgical/Pediatrics unit at Sanford since 2013. She also has experience as a Clinical Adjunct at South Dakota State University, where she found a love for teaching. She continues to practice as an active nurse at Sanford along with being a Nursing Instructor at Northern State University. Tiffany’s nursing clinical experiences in Medical/Surgical/Pediatrics have included the care of patients with complex acute and chronic conditions, where she developed strong skills in clinical judgment, interdisciplinary collaboration, patient education, and evidence-based practice. Tiffany is also a certified preceptor and has been a preceptor to many of her peers. Tiffany is currently pursuing her Master’s degree of Science in Nursing (MSN)-Nurse Educator at South Dakota State University. Tiffany’s role for NSU is in clinical instruction, nursing simulation lab, and lab application.

Her philosophy is backed by the belief that teaching is a collaborative and transformative process that fosters the development of competent, compassionate, and critically thinking nurses. She believes that students learn best in an environment that is supportive, inclusive, and encourages active engagement, curiosity, and lifelong learning.
