Ms. Bau is a proud Northern State University alum who began her professional journey on campus in 2014. She first served as the TRIO Student Support Services programming coordinator and academic advisor before transitioning in 2021 into her current role as director of Student Rights and Responsibilities and Title IX coordinator.

Known for her commitment to student advocacy and community engagement, Ms. Bau was recognized in 2025 as one of the Northern State University Foundation’s Leaders of the Pack one of the Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce’s 4 Under 40.

Her involvement extends beyond campus through service on multiple state and local boards dedicated to supporting youth and adolescents. She holds a bachelor of science degree in business marketing from Northern and a master of arts in interdisciplinary studies with emphases in special education and educational psychology from the University of South Dakota.
