Develop Your Own Artistic Practices

As a studio art major at Northern State University, you’ll focus on in-depth exploration of various artistic fields, as well as on a wide range of historical, critical, and theoretical approaches to the discipline. Our curriculum encourages you to study and investigate aesthetic and historical discourse as you develop your own artistic practices. You’ll dive into art/design studio experiences and art history courses as you engage with your discipline at an advanced level, preparing you for a career as a professional artist or even graduate studies.
