Quilter's Guild

ABERDEEN, S.D. – The exhibition “Wallflowers” by the Aberdeen Area Quilt Guild, the Candlelight Quilt Guild and the Modern Quilt Guild will be on display in the Northern State University Johnson Fine Arts Center Gallery June 17 through August 9. The opening reception will be held 5-7 p.m. on June 24.

“All three groups are made up of people who love quilting,” said Peggy Hallstrom, a member of the Candlelight Quilting Guild and NSU registrar. “The quilts will show a variety of color, design and techniques. While some are intended as bed coverings, others are intended for wall hangings, or more decorative in nature. These examples are from our personal collections, but many of us make quilts to donate to various charities. The Candlelight Guild determined it made nearly 50 quilts last year for charities.”
