Art exhibit on display in JFAC Gallery

ABERDEEN, S.D. – The creative skill of the Northern State University Art Department faculty is on full display this fall in the Johnson Fine Arts Center Gallery.

The Faculty Exhibition will be on display through Oct. 6, featuring work by Derek Decker, Alexis Doerr, Jay Hopkins, Peter Kilian, Jason Knowles and Nadya Preszler.

“This faculty show provides an opportunity for students and the community to view the high caliber of art that the Art Department faculty create while being active in their respective fields in addition to teaching,” said Decker, Northern Galleries Director.

The exhibition features a variety of artwork, such as paintings, ceramics, photography, mixed media and digital media.

A reception will be held 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, in the JFAC Gallery. This event is free and open to the public. A virtual exhibition will also be available to view on the Northern Galleries webpage.
