ABERDEEN, S.D. – The Northern State University Chamber Singers will present the 10th annual Bach’s Lunch, honoring the 335rd birthday of Johann Sebastian Bach, on Wednesday, March 18.

The performance – the longest-running Bach concert series in the state – will begin at noon at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1620 Milwaukee Ave. S.E. Bach’s Lunch will feature the NSU Chamber Singers, under the direction of NSU Director of Choral Activities Dr. Timothy Woods.

The Chamber Singers, with the assistance from players from the Aberdeen University Civic Symphony, directed by NSU’s Dr. Christopher Stanichar, will perform Cantata 150 “Nach dir, Herr, verlanget mich” in its entirety.

Keyboard performers include JoAnne Barry and Kenneth Boulton, as well as Northern’s Allan Jacobson, William Wieland and Stuart Davidson. Instrumentalists include Gregory Lyons, Leandro Fernandez Moutin, Isaac H. Seaton, Stanichar (violins); Davidson (cello); Molly Royals (Bassoon); and Wieland (keyboard).

After the program, the church will provide a light lunch for performers and audience members. Admission is a freewill donation to NSU music scholarships at the door. NSU students are admitted for free.
